On September 4, ahead of the City Day celebration, registration opened for a new series of tours of the high-tech production facilities in the capital. The first of these will take place on September 10, announced the Minister of the Moscow Government, head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy. Anatoly Garbuzov.

“Tours of high-tech factories in the capital, on the one hand, help to interest young people in engineering specialties, and on the other hand, visually demonstrate to a wide audience that Moscow produces high-quality, in-demand, and modern products. Since 2019, the ‘Discover#Mosprom’ project has been implemented in the city. This year, more than 200 tours were organized as part of the initiative, with nearly 3.7 thousand people registered. And in total, over 3.5 thousand events have been held since the project’s inception,” noted Anatoly Garbuzov.

More than 140 modern industrial sites in the city have already joined the “Open#MosProm” project. In September, residents and visitors of the capital will be able to visit the Shcherbinka Elevator Plant, where lifting mechanisms were created, installed, for example, in the Yelokhovsky Cathedral and the “Patriot” park. In addition, tour participants will see how robots grind lenses for glasses at the “iCraft” enterprise, and learn what hops and malt look like, brewing kettles, fermentation tanks as tall as an eight-story building, and bottling lines at the “Ochakovo” plant. Moreover, it will be possible to visit the center of space technologies in Russia — the scientific and production association “Molniya”, where the legendary orbital ship “Buran” was developed.

The “Open#Mosprom” project is implemented by the Moscow Government and aims to popularize the capital’s industry, increase interest in the industrial sector, and attract young professionals to the city’s enterprises. It combines various formats, including offline and online tours of factories, educational lectures, master classes, intellectual games and quizzes, as well as exhibition and sports events.
