In July, specialists completed the construction of the second building of the unified dispatch center (UDC) “Moscow Transport.” The complex, consisting of two buildings, will become the largest modern UDC in Europe for managing all urban transport. It will become the heart of the city’s ground and river transport and will help further increase residents’ trust in public transport. After placing the information center units in the EDC, employees will be able to receive the necessary data in real time and promptly transmit it to the information services of the Moscow Government and partners (Yandex and 2GIS geo-services), as well as to the chatbot and contact center “Moscow Transport.” This will help respond faster to passengers’ needs and offer them personalized information across various resources. The speed of informing citizens will thus double.
The first EDC building, opened in 2019, helped increase the productivity of rail transport dispatchers by 35 percent. After the second building is put into operation, a similar indicator for ground transport specialists will increase by 30 percent, and their interaction will speed up fourfold.
“In real-time, dispatchers will adjust routes and schedules of buses and electric buses, adapting to the movement of other types of transport. The accuracy of adhering to the schedule and intervals of buses and electric buses will increase by about 20 percent,” wrote Sergey Sobyanin.

Employees providing security in the metro, on Moscow Central Circle, Moscow Central Diameters, river, and other types of transport will operate in the new building.
