A quest will take place at the Museum of Russian Estates for City Day. Participants will get acquainted with Moscow of the 16th–17th centuries, learn about the daily life of Russian tsars, the layout of the palace chambers, traditions, and entertainments of that time.
Children will learn what the royal chambers looked like, what dishes were used at the table, what clothes were worn at the court, and how free time was spent. Participants will see museum interiors inspired by the decoration of the Terem Palace of the Moscow Kremlin, works by master silversmiths, handwritten books, and rare chromolithographs depicting rulers and events of the era.
During the quest, the children will have to solve riddles related to ancient manuscripts, find the characters of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich’s court theater, and become acquainted with items that were used several centuries ago.
