Residents special economic zone The Special Economic Zone (SEZ) “Technopolis Moscow” showcased its products at one of China’s key industry platforms — the 14th Semiconductor Equipment, Materials and Key Components Exhibition CSEAC 2026. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry. Maxim Liksutov.
“Participation in the exhibition in China is an important step in promoting domestic technologies abroad. Companies from the Moscow special economic zone, supported by the Moscow Government, are presenting their developments on this platform for the first time. Such events allow enterprises to demonstrate the high level of their solutions and find new business partners. For example, one of the residents who creates chemical materials for microelectronics is already establishing cooperation with Chinese colleagues. This helps exchange experiences and bring products to new markets,” said Maxim Liksutov.
Moscow leads among Russian regions in the share of trade turnover with the People’s Republic of China. In the first half of 2026, this indicator increased by 30 percent compared to the same period last year. At the same time, the capital’s industrial exports to China more than doubled due to supplies of aviation and energy engineering products.
At the exhibition, Moscow companies are showcasing equipment, ultra-pure reagents, materials, and measurement systems for microchip production. Of particular interest are two lithography machines developed by one of the SEZ residents. The excimer laser for them was created by another company, “Lassard.” In addition, it presented machines for double-sided grinding of wafers made of gallium arsenide, germanium, silicon, and silicon carbide, as well as for growing monocrystals using the vertical directional solidification method.
The Research Institute of Molecular Electronics has introduced 15 new chemical materials. These include photoresists, suspensions, and anti-reflective coatings for photolithography, as well as formulations for chemical-mechanical planarization. The enterprise has been developing this direction since 2016. During this time, it has managed to establish supply chains within the country and significantly reduce dependence on imported materials in the production of microchips using 180–90 nanometer technologies.
The participation of Moscow enterprises in the CSEAC 2026 exhibition is organized with the support of the Trade Representative Office of Russia in the People’s Republic of China.
The special economic zone “Technopolis Moscow” will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2026. Over two decades, the project has grown from a starting platform for innovative projects into a key hub of domestic industry and a center for companies defining Russia’s technological sovereignty. Today, across 10 sites of the SEZ “Technopolis Moscow” covering a total area of 430 hectares, the production of more than 240 high-tech enterprises is localized, representing such strategic fields as microelectronics, instrumentation, biomedicine, information technology, and robotics.
