The city put up for auction the right to lease two buildings with land plots for opening private educational institutions. Auction winners will receive property for use within the framework of the city’s preferential lease program “1 ruble per square meter per year.” This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Planning Policy and Construction. The opportunity to rent city property at a preferential rate for opening private educational institutions under the city program “1 ruble per square meter per year” has been available to investors since 2013. The contract with the auction winner is concluded for 49 years, and they can switch to the preferential rental rate immediately after completing repair work and fulfilling the requirements for organizing and conducting educational activities.
“For entrepreneurs, renting real estate for a private kindergarten or school under the “1 ruble per square meter per year” program means long-term support from the city and additional financial potential for business development. For the residents of the capital, the opening of such institutions increases the accessibility of educational services and provides the opportunity to choose the most suitable format. Currently, investors have access to renting two real estate properties through the “ruble” program. In the Izmaylovo district, up for auction is
building an area of 827.6 square meters at the address: 10th Parkovaya Street, building 18a. Along with it, the auction winner will receive nearly 0.3 hectares of land to set up playgrounds and walking areas. The investor will be able to open a preschool educational institution for at least 80 children here,” said Vladimir Efimov.
The city also put up for auction the right to lease real estate for opening a private kindergarten under the “1 ruble per square meter per year” program in the Lyublino district. The two-story building with an area of almost 2.9 thousand square meters and about one hectare of land is located on Krasnodarskaya Street (house 61). The facility is designed for 150 places.
“Since 2013, investors have leased 31 real estate properties to open private educational institutions under the ‘1 ruble per square meter per year’ program. One of the buildings houses a school, while the others are kindergartens and schools with preschool departments. 25 of them have already been transferred to the preferential rental rate. Importantly, thanks to this support, not only individual but also network organizations are emerging in the city. For instance, one investor opened branches in the northwest, south, southwest, and southeast of Moscow; another — in the center and west of the capital. Two entrepreneurs chose the Eastern Administrative District for business development, where each operates two branches. The expansion of the network of private educational institutions demonstrates the demand for and effectiveness of the ‘ruble’ program,” she added.

According to the head of the Moscow Department for Competitive Policy Kirill Purtov, applications for participation in the auctions will be accepted until September 21. The auctions will take place on September 23. Both legal entities and individuals, including individual entrepreneurs, can participate in them.

Earlier, Sergey Sobyanin said that on September 1, 145 new or completely renovated ones will open in the capital schools and kindergartens.
