As part of the capital repair program for the housing stock in the capital, 20 residential buildings will be renovated in the Zelenograd Administrative District of the capital in 2026. This was reported by the urban infrastructure complex of Moscow.
16-story building in Matushkino
The tallest building in the district undergoing major renovation is building 449 in the Matushkino area. This 16-story apartment building was constructed in 1967 based on a modified standard series project. The building, lacking decorative elements, has a simple plan form.
Currently, specialists are completing the facade renovation work. Since the building is a standard model and belongs to the type whose facades were originally faced with tiles at the factories during production, they are using a special technology involving polymer-cement mixtures applied on reinforcing meshes. This allows them to update the appearance of the building as well as restore its technical characteristics.
For the convenience of residents, the work was divided into several stages. In the first stage, the external walls were washed and the bulging tiles were removed. In the next stage, specialists sequentially applied adhesive compounds with reinforcing mesh to the prepared surface. Then, they applied decorative layers and a final coating in shades of “signal white,” “red henna,” and “dusty white.”
Close attention was paid to the panel joints. To protect the building from cold and dampness, they were cleaned out, reshaped, and refilled with modern material.
In addition, specialists repaired the entrance groups, slopes, and replaced the window sills.
10-entrance building in Old Kryukovo
The longest building in terms of the number of entrances in Zelenograd undergoing major renovations is building 801 in the Staroe Kryukovo district. The nine-story apartment building, which has 10 entrances, was built in 1973 based on a modified standard series design and has a simple layout.
For the repair of the building facade, specialists also use technology involving polymer-cement mixtures on reinforcing meshes. At the first stage, the house walls were washed, cracks were eliminated, and loose tiles were removed. Then an adhesion primer was applied, followed by highly adhesive elastic adhesive mixtures, and on top finished layers of decorative plaster and a special durable facade paint in shades of “creamy white” and “red ant” were applied.
Specialists pay particular attention to the joints between panels. They are cleaned and resealed. Advanced domestic materials are used for this. In addition, all entrance groups and the building’s plinth part are brought into order, and window sills are replaced. As part of the major overhaul, the roofing covering is renewed on the roof.
A nine-story apartment building in the Staroe Kryukovo district
The largest building by area undergoing major renovations in the Zelenograd Administrative District is building 803 in the Staroye Kryukovo area. This nine-story apartment building, with a facade area of over 12 thousand square meters, was constructed in 1972 based on a modified standard series design. The building has a simple form without decorative elements.
To restore the facade of a panel house that was previously clad with rectangular glazed tiles, specialists use a modern technology involving polymer-cement mixtures applied on reinforcing meshes. The original cladding of the wall panels was done at factories, and during major repairs, specialists on site restore the original technical characteristics of the facade surfaces, making the building more energy-efficient and attractive.
The craftsmen cleared and washed the facade, removed loose tiles, applied adhesive compounds with a reinforcing mesh. Then they applied decorative layers and a final paint layer. According to the color scheme, the building is painted in shades of “creamy white” and “yellow honeycombs.”
In addition, they are refurbishing the entrance areas, restoring window slopes, and replacing window sills. Specialists are also renewing the roofing.
