Beijing, August 29 /Xinhua/ — On Saturday, at the request of the Nepalese government, the Ministry of Emergency Management of China sent five Chinese tunnel specialists to Nepal to assist in rescue operations in the hydroelectric power station tunnel.
Specialists flew by helicopter from Gyirong County of the Tibet Autonomous Region /Southwest China/ and arrived at the affected area in Nepal at 16:58 Beijing time, after which they immediately joined the rescue operation on site.
As reported by the ministry, four more tunnel specialists were also sent to Nepal to further assist in the rescue operations. –0–
