This year, 10 residential buildings on Rublevskoye Highway in the Kuntsevo district are being refurbished using the “wet facade” technology. In urban utility complex reported that this modern method has proven to be effective, which is why it is increasingly used in the major renovation of residential buildings.
Rublyovskoye Highway was built in 1903 in connection with the construction of the Rublyovskaya water treatment station. The route ran along the main Moscow River water supply pipeline from the intake in Rublyovo to the water tower reservoir on the Vorobyovy Hills.
Rublyovskoye Highway, Building 83, Block 4
The first building where major repairs started using the new technology is located at: Rublyovskoye Highway, building 83, block 4. The building has varying floors (from 14 to 16 floors) and was constructed in 1989 based on a modified typical series project. It has a complex shape in plan. The facades have simple plasticity, with no decorative elements.
In this building, workers are repairing the facade, basement, and roof, as well as replacing the main engineering system pipelines. For wall renovation, they chose the “wet facade” technology. Specialists cleared and washed the exposed surfaces, then primed them and hung brackets for air conditioners and their trays. Then they installed mineral wool insulation, plastered it with a base layer, and laid fiberglass mesh. After that, the structure will be plastered with a decorative layer and they will start painting the surfaces. The facade colors chosen were “burnt yellow brick” and “signal white.”
Alongside the painting, baskets for air conditioners will be installed. Then the balconies will be put in order, and the screens will be plastered and painted. In addition, the craftsmen will update the entrance groups. Modern double-glazed windows will be installed in the common areas, and the blind area and the building’s plinth will also be renovated. The roofing will be replaced on the roof. The building’s basement rooms, central heating mains, drainage, cold, and hot water supply are also being renovated.
Rublyovskoye Highway, building 83, block 5
Work is also ongoing in the building located at: Rublevskoye Highway, building 83, block 5. This is a 16-story residential building, constructed in 1988 according to a modified design of the standard series. Its facades have simple forms, and there are no decorative elements.
The building’s facade and basement will be repaired, the roofing will be replaced, as well as the main engineering system pipelines. Work began with clearing and washing the exposed surfaces. Then the surfaces were primed, brackets for air conditioners were installed, and the facade was insulated with mineral wool boards. At the next stage, the surface was plastered with a base layer and a fiberglass mesh was installed. Currently, specialists are applying plaster, decorative, and paint layers over the entire prepared perimeter of the facade. The building will be painted in shades of “burnt yellow brick” and “signal white.”
At the same time, workers are installing baskets for air conditioners. They will need to renovate the entrance areas, plaster and paint the balcony screens. Modern double-glazed windows will be installed in the common areas. In addition, they will repair the blind area and the building’s plinth, clear out and repair the basement, and lay a new roof covering. The engineering systems will also be updated: drainage mains, central heating, cold and hot water supply.
Rublevskoye Highway, building 91, block 4
The facade, roof, basement need to be renovated and the main engineering system pipelines replaced in the residential building located at Rublyovskoye Highway, building 91, block 4. The variable-height building (ranging from 14 to 16 floors) was constructed in 1988 based on a modified standard series design.
After cleaning and washing the facade, the craftsmen began installing the brackets for the air conditioners. Then the installation of insulation started. After the base plastering, a mesh is laid, decorative plaster is applied, and the facade painting begins. It will be finished in shades of “burnt yellow brick” and “signal white.” Air conditioner cages will appear on the walls. Entrance groups will be repaired, and windows will be replaced in common areas. Balcony screens will be plastered and painted.
In addition, they will renovate the blind area and the building’s plinth. The roof will be covered with a new roofing material, after which the basement rooms will be restored. It is also planned to replace the main lines of central heating, sewage, cold and hot water supply.
Using the “wet facade” technology, seven more buildings in Kuntsevo will be refurbished. They are located at the following addresses: Rublyovskoye Highway, building 12, block 1; building 14, block 1; building 16, block 1; building 22, block 1; building 24, block 1; building 99, block 4; building 99, block 5.
