More than eight thousand people took part in the first “Night at the Clinic” event as part of the project “Summer in Moscow”. In four hours, on 10 sites, three times more city residents underwent preventive measures than in a whole day at all the city’s polyclinics. More than half of the visitors were under 40 years old. This was reported by Anastasia Rakova, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Social Development.
The next “Night at the Clinic” event will take place next Saturday, August 29, from 8:00 PM to 12:00 AM at the same addresses.
“We are developing a philosophy of healthy longevity in Moscow. The idea is that caring for health should begin not during illness, but long before it. Therefore, we try to make the first step towards prevention simple and convenient. We launched the ‘Moscow Checkup,’ 90 percent of which can be completed online, and we also integrate self-care into city life. Healthy longevity pavilions operate on the boulevards, and on August 22, we held the ‘Night at the Clinic’ for the first time. And we see that this approach works. More than eight thousand people came to the event, and more than half of them were under 40 years old—never before have so many young people simultaneously come to clinics for prevention. The daily rate of prevention completion exceeded more than three times compared to all clinics combined. That is three times more than the number of people who visit prevention offices of all the city’s clinics combined in one day. The main thing is that young people came to the clinic not because of illness, but to check their health. For some of them, this was their first such visit. On August 29, we will hold the second ‘Night at the Clinic’ and invite Muscovites to join.”We have expanded the opportunities of the medical and cultural program due to the high interest in the past event,” said Anastasia Rakova.
The cultural program of the second “Night at the Clinic” event will differ from the previous one, but will also combine art, music, creativity, sports, gastronomy, and interactive activities. It will be complemented by the medical part, which will allow combining interesting leisure with health care.
Visitors without a Moscow compulsory medical insurance policy (OMS) will be able to undergo bioimpedance body composition analysis, receive recommendations on physical activity and lifestyle, and consult with medical professionals on general health issues. Several hundred doctors from various city clinics have expressed a desire to work an unusual shift. They will receive increased pay considering the special format of the work.
Guests with a Moscow OMS policy and the “EMIAS.INFO” app will also be able to donate blood as part of the “Moscow Checkup” program. To do this, it is necessary to fill out checkup questionnaires in the app in advance or directly at the clinic and receive a personal set of referrals for examinations, taking into account individual health risks.
In the Central Administrative District, the venues for the “Night at the Polyclinic” will be Branch No. 1 of City Polyclinic (CP) No. 5 (Bolshaya Bronnaya Street, building 3) and the main building of CP No. 220 (Zamorenova Street, building 27); in the Southern Administrative District — Branch No. 3 of CP No. 2 (Yaltinskaya Street, building 10) and Branch No. 4 of CP No. 5 (Elevatornaya Street, building 15); in the South-Eastern Administrative District — Branch No. 4 of CP No. 109 (Shkuleva Street, building 4); in the Western Administrative District — the outpatient and polyclinic center of CP No. 212 (Solntsevsky Avenue, building 11a, structure 1) and Branch No. 2 of Consulting and Diagnostic Center No. 4 (Fizkulturny Lane, building 6); in the Eastern Administrative District — the main building of CP No. 66 (Saltykovskaya Street, building 11b); in the Northern Administrative District — Branch No. 3 of CP No. 62 (Kuusinena Street, building 6b); and in the North-Eastern Administrative District — Branch No. 8 of Clinical and Diagnostic Center No. 6 (Dmitrovskoye Highway, building 165d, block 7).
Participation is free, no prior registration is required.
This summer, Moscow is promoting an urban philosophy of healthy longevity. Its aim is to help people maintain health, activity, and quality of life for many years, and to make self-care a natural part of everyday life. Within this philosophy, a comprehensive health care program called “Moscow Checkup” has been introduced. To make the first step towards prevention even easier, the city is integrating it into the familiar life of Muscovites. Pavilions of healthy longevity are already operating on the boulevards. The “Night at the Clinic” campaign continues this trend and offers another convenient and open format to get acquainted with the capabilities of Moscow medicine.
