Yury Trutnev: More than 200 films have been submitted to the “Far East – Land of Adventures” competition from residents of the country

Since the launch of the fourth season of the “Far East – Land of Adventures” contest, the jury has received 219 films from residents of various regions of the country, which is 15% more than during the same period in 2025. This was reported by the project initiator, Deputy Prime Minister – Plenipotentiary Representative of the President in the Far Eastern Federal District, Yuri Trutnev.

“We want to make the Far East and the Arctic more accessible to those who love active recreation and travel, to tell about the unique Far Eastern and Arctic nature and traditions, to showcase the beauty of volcanoes, seas, hills, and mountains. And of course, to encourage those who test their willpower and spirit by taking on new exciting routes. The competition jury has already received 219 films this year from travelers who came to the Far East and the Arctic from different parts of the country. This is 15% more than the same period last year. This means interest in the competition and in the Far East and the Arctic is growing,” noted Yuri Trutnev.

Traditionally, the most video submissions came from residents of the Far Eastern and Arctic regions, but 12 applications were submitted by participants from the Astrakhan, Belgorod, Vologda, Kemerovo, Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk regions, and Krasnodar Krai.

The nomination with the most submissions is “On Foot Journey” – 139 films. The “Water Journey” category received 33 video works, “Winter Journey” – 15, “Arctic Journey” – 22 films, and “Victory Trails” – 10 video films.

The largest number of video submissions were about travels in the Sakhalin region – 58 films. Participants submitted 37 films about routes in the Kamchatka Territory, 30 films about the Primorsky Territory, 25 videos about the Khabarovsk Territory, and 12 and 11 films about travels in the Trans-Baikal Territory and the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) respectively. In the Jewish Autonomous Region, 7 videos were produced; 6 films each came from tourists in the Amur Region and the Republic of Buryatia; 5 films covered routes in the Magadan and Arkhangelsk regions. In the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District, 4 travel films were made; 3 videos each from the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the Komi Republic, and the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District; 2 films about the Murmansk Region; and one each about the Republic of Karelia and the Nenets Autonomous District.

The fourth season of the all-Russian competition for the best trip in the Far East and the Arctic “Far East – Land of Adventures” started on May 1, 2026. To become a participant, it is necessary to shoot a short film up to 8 minutes long about your journey to the Far East or the Arctic and submit it via the website puteshestvennikdv.rf until January 15, 2027.

The contest takes place in five main categories: “Hiking Journey,” “Water Journey,” “Winter Journey,” “Arctic Journey,” and “Victory Trails.” The grand prize for the best video is 3 million rubles, and many other prizes are also provided.

Both professional travelers and amateurs, as well as children accompanied by adults, can participate in the contest. It is not necessary to have special filming skills or equipment: among the winners and prize-winners of the first three seasons, there are many video works shot on an ordinary phone.

The competition is held with the support of the office of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President in the Far Eastern Federal District, the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and Arctic, JSC “Corporation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic,” and the NGO “Fund for the Development of Social Initiatives.”
