For city residents with health challenges in Moscow, various sports events are organized. Participation is free, with prior registration on the day of the event. Sportswear and shoes will be needed to enter the venue.
On August 29, in Zelenograd (building 309) at the Rehabilitation Center for people with disabilities using physical culture and sports methods, the XXI Open Zelenograd Paraspartakiad for people with special health needs will take place. Residents of Moscow over 18 years old with disabilities are invited to participate regardless of nosology. Athletes will be able to test their skills in several disciplines: shuffleboard, cornhole, darts, table tennis, and boccia. The competition format is individual, with separate scoring for men and women.
To register, you must have with you an identity document, a compulsory health insurance policy, a certificate of medical and social expertise or a certificate from the medical and labor expert commission, or another document, as well as a certificate in form No. 1144n.
On the same day, at Udaltzova Street (building 22, block 26) from 11:00 to 16:00, district competitions of the Moscow Comprehensive Interdistrict Spartakiad “Sport Without Barriers” in petanque will take place. Adult city residents with general illnesses may participate. The competition format is team-based, in the “triplet” discipline; teams are mixed, without gender separation. The winner is determined by the number of games won. To register, you must have a personal identification document, mandatory health insurance policy, a certificate of medico-social examination or of the medical-labor expert commission, or another document, as well as a certificate in form No. 1144n.
The event is organized by Department of Sports of the City of Moscow. They correspond to the goals of the state programs of the Russian Federation «Development of Physical Culture and Sports» and “Sport of Russia”. One of their objectives is to increase the proportion of citizens who regularly engage in physical culture and sports to 70 percent by 2030.
