Since the fall of 2024, participants in the project “Zaryadye Hall — for children” were 50 thousand people. They attended over 220 concerts and performances, learned about the work of great composers, and discovered new musical and theatrical genres. This was reported by Natalya Sergunina, Deputy Mayor of Moscow.
“Since the beginning of the year alone, the project has brought together 12,000 young Muscovites and their parents. Each event immerses the children in the world of music and art, gives bright impressions, and inspires them to engage in creativity. Very soon, in September, the new season will begin,” noted Natalia Sergunina.
“The ‘Zaryadye Hall for Children’ series includes musical performances, symphonic, organ, and jazz concerts. Particularly popular is the cycle ‘Who Said “Dzing”?’: listeners are introduced to the differences in sound between the piano, harp, flute, cello, drums, and percussion instruments.
Each season, the program expands. For example, this fall will begin a series of meetings called “Who shouted ‘bravo’?”. It will be devoted to opera and ballet: the participants will analyze the features of productions in these genres, including examples such as Tchaikovsky’s “Swan Lake” and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s “The Magic Flute.”
Another novelty is the concert series “Writer-Melomaniacs,” prepared based on the musical preferences of Alexander Pushkin, Nikolai Gogol, Fyodor Dostoevsky, and Anton Chekhov. Guests will learn what music the Russian classics loved and how their tastes were reflected in their works.
In addition, visitors can expect big jazz concert October 4, musical journey around the world of Russian fairy tales on October 18, scientific show about sound waves on November 21 and other events.
“The project has existed for less than two years but already has a large audience. It helps young listeners get acquainted with academic music in an engaging game format,” added Ivan Rudin, CEO of the Moscow Concert Hall “Zaryadye.”
