In the southeast of the capital, construction continues on a pedestrian crossing that will connect the “Pechatniki” station of the Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya metro line and the station of the same name on the second line. Moscow Central Diameter (MCD-2). To date, the builders have completely finished the installation of the metal structures of the future gallery. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Policy and Construction Vladimir Efimov.
“One of the most important tasks in creating a modern and comfortable urban environment is to provide pedestrians with safe infrastructure within the boundaries of major transport hubs. To enable seamless transfers between metro and MCD stations in Pechatniki, we are building a pedestrian gallery based on the principle of ‘dry feet.’ It will pass under the fourth section of the southern route Moscow High-Speed Diameter within the boundaries of Shosseynaya, Polbina, and Guryanova streets. At present, the gallery’s readiness exceeds 70 percent, and the installation of the building’s metal structures has been completed,
On the northern side, the pedestrian gallery will adjoin the entrance to the Pechatniki MCD-2 station, which will be equipped with two sets of doors. On the southern side, the passage will be connected to the metro vestibule, where an additional exit with a canopy will appear. Along the entire pedestrian gallery, canopies will be arranged.
“Currently, finishing works and installation of external engineering networks are being carried out at the site, and landscaping of the adjacent territory has also begun. We plan to complete construction and installation works by the end of the year,” added the head of the Department of Construction of Transport and Engineering Infrastructure of the city of Moscow.
