Beijing, August 26 /Xinhua/ — China has already developed nearly 200 key standards in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) to ensure sustainable and orderly development of this sector, said Xin Gobin, Deputy Head of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) of China, on Wednesday.
Speaking at a press conference organized by the Press Office of the State Council of the PRC, Xin Gobin noted that at present AI in China is largely integrated into all links of the production chain, including scientific research and development, design, manufacturing, production, quality control, as well as operation and maintenance.
Xin Gobin further reported that in China, under the aegis of the MPI and with the participation of a number of cities, work is underway to implement mechanisms for ethical assessment of artificial intelligence and corresponding service delivery practices.
During the implementation of the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030), efforts to develop key 6G technologies will be accelerated, said Liu Yulin, director of the Department of Information and Communication Technology Development at the MPI, at a press conference.
According to him, continuous testing of 6G technologies and the development of corresponding standards will be carried out to promote the establishment and development of the 6G industry ecosystem and its application areas, which will create a foundation for the commercial deployment of 6G.
