A resident of the Special Economic Zone ‘Technopolis Moscow’ has launched the production of double-sided information boards with liquid crystal displays, which can be used for navigation. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry Maxim Liksutov.
“On the instructions of Sergei Sobyanin, we pay special attention to the digitalization of city infrastructure and the implementation of advanced solutions. Continuing this work, the launch of production of new-generation two-sided navigation boards at the Moscow Technopolis Special Economic Zone took place. These high-tech screens will make city navigation even more modern, technological, and convenient for residents and guests of the capital,” said Maksim Liksutov.
The production of innovative liquid crystal displays is carried out by the company “Neks-T”, known under the brand NexTouch. The display shows the required text, graphics, tables, schedules, pictograms, and multimedia in a specified format, which are updated in real time.
Moreover, the image on the screen remains clear and legible regardless of the viewing angle, lighting, and operating conditions. The product can operate both autonomously and as part of distributed systems integrated into transport infrastructure.
“The product is based on our own liquid crystal modules, manufactured in Moscow. By creating displays from scratch, the company’s engineers were able to hardware-adapt them to harsh operating conditions — ensuring resistance to constant vibrations, temperature fluctuations, and increased loads. This will allow for the formation of a unified, intuitive information environment,” said Vladimir Krikushenko, CEO of the Nex-T group of companies.
Products made by residents of the Moscow SEZ are regularly delivered to various regions of Russia—from the Kaliningrad region to the Far East. For example, inspection equipment manufactured in Moscow operates at airports, railways, and energy facilities across the country. Portable medical devices for emergency care are sent to ambulance services and hospitals in more than 50 regions. Composite materials and structures are used in the construction and reconstruction of bridges, overpasses, and hydraulic structures in dozens of Russian Federation subjects. Digital educational equipment developed by the SEZ resident helps school and preschool children learn natural sciences in 73 regions.
Special Economic Zone “Technopolis Moscow” is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. During this time, the project has evolved from a launchpad for innovative projects into a key hub of domestic industry and a center of attraction for companies shaping Russia’s technological sovereignty. Today, on 10 special economic zone sites covering a total area of 430 hectares, the production of more than 240 high-tech enterprises has been localized. They represent strategic areas such as microelectronics, instrument engineering, biomedicine, IT, and robotics.
