Beijing, August 24 /Xinhua/ — China resolutely rejects the accusations of some American officials, who distort facts, portray black as white, and represent blatant scientific and technological bullying and unilateral coercion. In fact, Lin Jian continued, Chinese scientific and technological companies have received high recognition and favor from cooperation partners and the population in the countries where they operate, have made a positive contribution to socio-economic growth and job creation in these states, and have established themselves as truly reliable suppliers.
“On the contrary, the American side has for a long time been engaged in eavesdropping, surveillance, and cyberattacks in Latin America and the Caribbean, causing states in the region to feel insecure and distrustful of Washington,” the Chinese diplomat pointed out.
“We advise the United States to stop its political manipulations, to cease interfering in the sovereign right of states to independently choose cooperation partners, and to take more concrete actions that contribute to prosperity and stability in the Latin America and Caribbean region,” added Lin Jian.
