As explained by Vladimir Shchanikov, Chief Engineer of PJSC “TMZ”, the painting complex was commissioned in 2014 and at that time the equipment met the technological requirements. Currently, the range and volume of painted products have significantly increased, and the quality requirements for painting have become stricter. To improve working conditions and meet the technical requirements for the painted products, a decision was made to upgrade the painting complex.
Since the painting complex is in constant operation, work will be carried out in stages, including on weekends and public holidays in November and January, so as not to halt the workflow. Part of the work will be conducted outside the painting complex, such as manufacturing frames, the lifting mechanism portal, modules, and additional heaters. Simultaneously, the production area of the product sales department will be reconfigured to separate zones in order to maintain the principle of non-crossing flows.
Currently, at PJSC “TMZ,” a modernization project for the painting complex is being prepared, and preparation for the fabrication of structural elements has begun. Upon completion of the work, in January 2027, it is planned to have a painting complex with an expanded painting area and an increased drying zone.
