Specialists of the urban economy complex of Moscow completed road repair work on Khlebobulochny Proezd in the southwest of the capital. Road services renewed more than 20 thousand square meters of asphalt concrete pavement.
“The work was carried out as part of routine maintenance. First, milling of the existing pavement was done, inspection wells and storm drain grates were renewed, as well as the curb stone; then a new asphalt concrete pavement was laid and road markings were applied. Thanks to the repairs, the street has become even more comfortable and safer for residents of the adjacent neighborhoods. The work involved 50 specialists and 25 units of equipment. These include milling machines, asphalt pavers, rollers, dump trucks, and other specialized machinery,” said Alexander Zverev, head of the combined road repair complex at the State Budgetary Institution ‘Automobile Roads.’
The repair was necessary due to the formation of ruts, which could negatively affect traffic safety. The asphalt replacement work was carried out mainly during the daytime with partial lane closures and adherence to safety regulations.
The name of the passage is associated with the Cheremushki confectionery and bakery plant, which has been located here for over half a century. It was at this enterprise in the 1970s that the recipe for the famous “Charodeyka” cake was developed. It became one of the first Soviet long-lasting desserts and quickly gained popularity.
