About half a billion rubles will be additionally allocated from the Government of Dagestan’s reserve fund to reimburse expenses related to providing support measures to those affected by the flood. The order regarding this has been signed.

This concerns the region’s expenses on providing financial assistance to citizens who have partially or completely lost essential property.

In March–April 2026, heavy rains occurred in certain areas of Dagestan and Chechnya. The bad weather led to widespread flooding, resulting in damage to residential houses, household plots, key education and healthcare facilities, as well as utility and engineering infrastructure. By the President’s order, a government commission was established to eliminate the consequences of the natural disaster. To date, the total amount of funds allocated for restoration work and assistance to the affected citizens has exceeded 12 billion rubles.
