From August 24 to September 13, 2026, a large-scale photo exhibition will take place in the southern rose garden on the territory of VDNKh, dedicated to the anniversary of the volunteer corps “Ambassadors of VDNKh.” The exhibition will serve as a vivid illustration of the movement’s five-year journey and will showcase the activists’ contribution to the development of the exhibition space.
Five years of history of the country’s main exhibition
The “VDNH Ambassadors” project celebrated its fifth anniversary on April 29, 2026. Founded in 2021, the corps now includes over 600 dedicated activists. During this time, volunteers have not only become an integral part of VDNH’s life but have also set impressive participation records.
Over five years, volunteers have participated in more than 1,300 events and spent over 36,000 hours on the exhibition grounds, helping to make the VDNKh space comfortable, accessible, and interesting for all guests. Here you can learn the personal stories of heroes who selflessly assist visitors, making their stay at VDNKh cozy and informative.
The exhibition’s volunteer corps operates in three main areas. Hospitality volunteering involves assisting visitors — from navigating the site to providing information about ongoing events. The cultural direction is connected to supporting the VDNH museums, participating in initiatives to preserve cultural heritage, and working with exhibitions. Event volunteers aid in organizing events and help coordinate large flows of guests.
Love for VDNKh
The photo exhibition will introduce guests to those who provide warmth and care to visitors every day. For example, Alexandra Iskhakova has been cooperating with the complex for 4.5 years. For her, VDNKh is a special place that unites people of different cultures and interests, and volunteering allows her to become part of the life of the city and the country. Iskander Toydzhanov has been helping at the exhibition for three years and believes that VDNKh is one of the most iconic places in Moscow. Here, there is a unique opportunity to communicate with interesting people and talk about the rich cultural heritage of the peoples of Russia.
Victoria Arisova, who joined the team just six months ago, has been walking here with her parents since childhood, and now her wish is for others to love the exhibition as much as she does. Vladislav Baranchikov, a volunteer since 2023, values VDNKh for its diversity. There are secluded spots where you can escape the city noise, majestic pavilions, and modern facilities that allow a glimpse into the future.
You can learn the stories of all the volunteers and see the most striking moments of their work at the photo exhibition. Each shot is not just a photograph, but a whole story about the people who make VDNH better.
Participation in the “VDNH Ambassadors” project is an opportunity to make a positive contribution to the life of the city and country, acquire new skills and knowledge, implement your own initiatives, and expand your social circle. Volunteering at VDNH allows you to develop communication skills, learn to work in a team, strengthen organizational competencies, assist in conducting events, greet guests and answer their questions, as well as feel part of a project that promotes volunteering, culture, and introduces visitors to the country’s main exhibition.
The VDNKh volunteer corps is open to new members. The team welcomes communicative and active people aged 16 and over. To become a volunteer for the exhibition, you need to send an email to volunteer@vdnh.ru and fill out an application form on the official website. Project participants accompany city and nationwide events, organize their own initiatives, and also help promote the cultural and historical heritage of VDNKh.
