For the implementation renovation programs More than 3.9 million square meters of housing are currently being built in the capital: over 170 buildings are under construction in 12 districts of Moscow. Among all the capital’s developers, the Renovation Fund has become the leader in construction volume. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Policy and Construction. Vladimir Yefimov.

“The Renovation Fund ranks first among developers in Moscow by volume of ongoing construction and improves its own results annually. Currently, more than 1,700 buildings are being erected in 12 districts of the capital, with a total residential area exceeding 3.9 million square meters. The new residential complexes will include over 65 thousand apartments, including those intended for citizens with limited mobility. According to the standard of the renovation program, primarily aimed at improving the housing conditions of Muscovites, the buildings are designed to be more comfortable: apartments feature convenient layouts and comprehensive high-quality finishes,” said Vladimir Yefimov.

The most houses are being built in the Eastern Administrative District — 35 buildings with a residential area of more than 813 thousand square meters. In second place is the southeast — 29 new buildings, and the top three is completed by the southwest of the capital — where 24 residential complexes are being constructed.

“In 2026, the Moscow Renovation Fund confirmed its status as an industry leader and retains first place among developers in Moscow and Russia in terms of the volume of housing delivered. In the seven months of the current year, 39 residential real estate projects with a total area of 734 thousand square meters have already been built — which is 26 percent more than a year earlier. The houses being built under the renovation program are distinguished by high quality, contemporary architecture, and meet the capital’s standards of comfort and safety,” added the Minister of the Moscow Government, head of the Department of Urban Development Policy.

Vladislav Ovchinsky.

The construction of houses under the renovation program is supervised by the city authorities State Construction Supervision Committee. Chairman of Mosgosstroynadzor Anton Slobodchikov he said that the work of the specialists of “Kontrol Moskvy” guarantees that the built structures comply with the approved design solutions and technical regulations. Inspectors from Mosgosstroynadzor regularly conduct on-site inspections at construction sites. Employees of the subordinate Center for Expertise, Research, and Testing in Construction, who carry out a range of laboratory and instrumental studies, participate in control and supervisory activities. As a result of the seven months of the current year, permits for commissioning were issued for 39 new buildings.

Houses are built from domestic materials using advanced engineering technologies that allow for increased construction speeds and guarantee the reliability of all structures. The surrounding areas are landscaped and comprehensively improved: children’s and sports playgrounds, quiet relaxation zones, and convenient sidewalks become part of the new buildings.

Since the start of the renovation program in the capital, more than eight and a half million square meters of housing have been built. About 290 thousand city residents have already moved into new apartments or are finishing the move. Based on the results of work for 2025, the Renovation Fund became the leader in housing completion for the first time. This year, it continues to improve its own indicators in terms of pace and volume of construction and sets a high standard for all industry participants.

Sobyanin: About 1 million Muscovites will move into new apartments thanks to renovation

The renovation program was approved in August 2017. It concerns about one million Muscovites and provides for the resettlement of 5,176 houses. Previously, Sergey Sobyanin instructed to increase the pace of implementation of the renovation program in two times.

Moscow is one of the leaders among regions in construction volumes. The high pace of housing construction corresponds to the goals and initiatives of the national project “Infrastructure for Life”.
