Muscovites collected and sent more than three tons of humanitarian aid for participants of the special military operation (SMO) and residents of the new and border regions of Russia. The campaign was conducted by the capital’s Agency for Public Projects from July 28 to August 16.
“Our activists — representatives of non-profit organizations and sectoral youth councils — joined forces. They delivered warm clothes to the fighters for the autumn-winter season, as well as medicines and building materials, and to the children — clothing and school supplies for September 1,” said Pavel Ermalchuk, director of the Agency for Public Projects.
Muscovites sent trench candles, dry rations, camouflage nets, and personal hygiene products.
“Part of the trench candles were made by the guys from the youth public movement “Molodezhka ONF” and caring Muscovites at the district festivals “Faces” within the framework of the project “Summer in Moscow.” At these same events, city residents made postcards with warm wishes,” noted Pavel Fadeichev, a participant of the special military operation, winner of the first wave of the regional stage of the “Time of Heroes” program, and holder of the honorary badge “Parental Glory of the City of Moscow.”
By the beginning of the new school year, 36 boxes of items were delivered to the schoolchildren. The cargo included school uniforms, everyday clothes and shoes, hats and scarves, as well as stationery, toys, and board games.
