As part of the project “Summer in Moscow” In Izmailovsky Park, media workshop sessions called “Photo Studio” are being held. Since the beginning of 2026, over 170 people have attended them, for whom 30 thematic master classes were conducted.
The media workshop is led by a professional educator and an active photographer with 27 years of experience. Participants study the basics of visual art: composition, color harmony, working with natural and artificial light.
“There are no random people in our classes. Some come to learn how to beautifully photograph their children and travels, some are taking their first steps in the profession, and some, already experienced, are seeking fresh ideas and inspiration. What unites everyone is one thing — the desire to see the beautiful in the ordinary and share it through the frame,” says Mikhail Master, the teacher of the ‘Leisure in Parks’ project.
Special emphasis is placed on practice — students learn to correctly set camera settings, create photographs in various genres, from reportage to portrait, and edit images using modern graphic editors.
“I came with a regular DSLR and didn’t even know the basic settings. Thanks to the club, I now confidently shoot in any conditions and can edit a photo so that it really shines. The coolest bonus is working with an active professional who demonstrates everything with live examples,” shared club participant Pavel Tyurkin.
With the arrival of autumn, participants of the media workshop can expect an even more engaging and diverse program. Already in September, they will consolidate the skills they have acquired during shoots in the park centered around the theme “Summer Memories,” and in the studio, they will master portrait art and work with light and shadow in still life.
In October, students will immerse themselves in the world of art, learn the secrets of architectural and landscape photography, and also master capturing shots in motion.
November will open new horizons — from working at events and conducting interviews to creative experiments with filters and textures. This will help participants become confident creators with their own visual signature.

“Summer in Moscow” — the main event of the season, which has already become a good tradition and an integral part of the capital’s life.
