Resident special economic zone The (SEZ) “Technopolis Moscow” has started serial production of the educational kit “Metrology” for elementary school students. The digital laboratory allows children to conduct more than 200 different experiments with measuring instruments and digital sensors. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry. Maxim Liksutov.

“High-tech industry is actively developing in the capital, and, consequently, the demand for qualified engineering personnel is growing. The products of the SEZ resident help children master scientific methods through practical activities and experiments. The new digital laboratory teaches how to work with measuring instruments and sensors, analyze results, and draw conclusions. All this shapes research thinking from an early age. Such projects correspond to the task set by Sergey Sobyanin — to provide the city with competent specialists for the growing industry,” said Maxim Liksutov.

The laboratory was developed by the company “Scientific Entertainment,” which creates instructional materials and digital equipment for natural science disciplines. The set includes classic measuring instruments: scales, a ruler, a palette, a measuring cylinder, and a thermometer. They are complemented by digital sensors that allow you to measure sound level or illumination, and then analyze the obtained data on a computer.

The company’s products address a key challenge of educational organizations — creating a continuous environment for training future personnel. They cover the stage from kindergarten to admission to a specialized university, allowing the child to gradually immerse themselves in science through practical activities. The company’s portfolio includes more than 30 patents for its own developments.

The products of residents of the capital’s special economic zone are regularly delivered to regions of Russia—from the Kaliningrad region to the Far East. Inspection equipment produced in the capital is used at airports, railways, and energy facilities throughout the country. Portable medical devices for emergency assistance are sent to ambulance services and hospitals in more than 50 regions. Composite materials and structures are used in the construction and reconstruction of bridges, overpasses, and hydraulic structures in dozens of constituent entities of the Russian Federation.

The special economic zone “Technopolis Moscow” celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2026. Over two decades, the project has transformed from a launchpad for innovative projects into a key hub of domestic industry and a popular location among companies defining Russia’s technological sovereignty. Today, on 10 sites of the SEZ “Technopolis Moscow” with a total area of 430 hectares, production has been localized for more than 240 high-tech enterprises representing strategic areas such as microelectronics, instrumentation, biomedicine, IT, and robotics.
