First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov held a meeting on the current situation in the manufacturing industries. The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Economic Development, the Federal Tax Service, as well as the Federal State Statistics Service.
Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Alexey Matushansky reported on the current situation. He noted that there is a cautious positive dynamic in manufacturing industries. In addition, in June 2026, the Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) in manufacturing industries reached positive values, amounting to 50.3 points, and in July – 50.7 points.
The meeting participants paid special attention to the labor market situation. In manufacturing industries, the average monthly wage for the first 5 months of 2026 continued to grow and amounted to 107 thousand rubles, which is almost 12% higher than in January – May 2025.
Alexey Matushansky also reported on the indicators of the foreign trade sector. According to preliminary estimates, by the end of the first half of the year, there is growth in non-commodity, non-energy exports (+6.7%), including industrial products – by 5.25% in nominal terms.
It was also noted during the meeting that the current easing of monetary policy will contribute to a revival in the industrial sector.
