In the project “Active Citizen» opened voting, dedicated to the summer expedition “Nature of Moscow”, which takes place as part of “Summer in Moscow”. Participants will choose interesting topics for environmental educational lectures and the most memorable excursions, identify the main eco-habits of summer, as well as evaluate the audio guides available in the natural areas of the capital.

First, Muscovites are invited to determine which lecture topics interest them the most. Among the options are the behavior of wild animals, the capital’s aquatic ecosystems, bird care, and waste recycling. In addition, they can suggest their own topic.

The second question is dedicated to the types of excursions. Participants will be able to choose an ornithological walk with birdwatching, a botanical route to get acquainted with plants, or a historical walk through picturesque places with stories about local legends and interesting facts. You can also suggest your own option.

Another question concerns the audio tours included in the expedition program. In the Moscow part of the Losiny Ostrov National Park, near the Red Pine eco-center, there is an audio walk called “Enter the Green World” that is about three kilometers long. To participate, it is enough to scan the QR code at the entrance to the building and follow the route with headphones. Along the way, you can learn more about birds, plants, mushrooms, and the history of Losiny Ostrov.

At the Muzeon Arts Park, city residents are invited to discover the audio guide “The Trees Speak.” It is not tied to a specific route: QR codes are placed near individual trees throughout the area, so listeners can hear stories about them in any order. For example, participants will learn which tree is considered a symbol of Russia and which one is called a pioneer and why.

The voting results will help the organizers assess the citizens’ interest in various topics and formats, so they can take this into account when further developing the expedition program.

Every month, 30 to 40 decisions are implemented in the city. The project is being developed by the State Public Institution “New Management Technologies” and the capital’s Department of Information Technology.
