State Public Institution “Transport Organizer” Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure Development of the City of Moscow and the Russian State Library (RSL) have prepared a series of lectures that will take place on regular river electric vessels. All the works that will be discussed in the lectures can be read in the mobile application “Svet.” It also offers masterpieces of domestic and world classics, works from the school curriculum and extracurricular reading lists, fairy tales from the peoples of Russia and the world, and contemporary popular science books. In total, the platform features more than 10,000 publications and over two thousand audio works in Russian, including those voiced by famous actors.
River passenger transport
In 2023, the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, and the Mayor of Moscow, Sergey Sobyanin, launched a unique project for global practice — the world’s first year-round regular electric river transport route. Since the start of electric vessel operations, the total length of the river network has increased nearly fivefold.
Today, there are four regular river routes operating in the capital: Kievsky — Fili Park, ZIL — Pechatniki, Novospassky — ZIL, and Luzhniki — Kievsky, which was opened on June 7.
