This year, as part of the improvement work on 1st Vladimirskaya Street, a comprehensive project developed by the Center for Traffic Management (CTM) will be implemented. It is aimed at enhancing road safety and creating more comfortable conditions for the residents of the area.
“Road safety is our main priority in accordance with the transport development strategy until 2030, approved by the Mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin. We continue to make the city more comfortable for all road users. Thus, this year, according to the TSODD transport scheme, as part of the improvement on 1st Vladimirskaya Street, we will arrange four additional pedestrian crossings and open new directions for motorists. This will make residents’ routes even more convenient and safer, as well as reduce travel time for drivers,” said the Deputy Mayor of Moscow in the Moscow Government for Transport and Industry.
As part of the project, four new pedestrian crossings will be installed on 1st Vladimirskaya Street. One of them will appear near house 21, on the south side of the intersection with Metallurgov Street. It will provide a safe and convenient route to School No. 1852, the “Vostochny” Palace of Children’s and Youth Creativity, and other social facilities.
Another pedestrian crossing will be equipped near building 24, block 1, in a densely populated residential area, close to children’s and sports playgrounds, as well as within walking distance of schools and kindergartens.
At the intersection with Federativny Prospekt, a crossing will appear next to school No. 423 and the kindergarten, making it safer for students and parents to cross the road. On the southern side of the intersection with Bratskaya Street, the new crossing will improve the connection between residential blocks and the Perovo children’s and youth center for culture and sports.
To improve the area’s transport connectivity, new left turns will be opened for drivers. From Federative Avenue, it will be possible to turn onto 1st Vladimirskaya Street, which will shorten the route by almost a kilometer. And from Bratskaya Street to 1st Vladimirskaya, another route will appear, allowing a reduction of the distance by 500 meters.
As a result of the project implementation, traffic safety will increase, pedestrian and transport connections in the district will improve, and residents will get more convenient routes.
