Beijing, August 17 /Xinhua/ — A collection of selected works on foreign policy by the late Chinese leader Jiang Zemin has been published by the Zhongyang Wenxian Publishing House.
The book, jointly prepared by the Institute for the Study of Party History and Documentation under the CPC Central Committee and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PRC, contains 115 important works by Jiang Zemin on foreign policy from July 1989 to July 2003, including reports, speeches, letters, responses to questions, and other documents. Some of these works are published for the first time.
The collection was published on Monday, when a solemn assembly was held in China to mark the centenary of Jiang Zemin’s birth.
Jiang Zemin, born in August 1926, was elected General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee in 1989. He was the core of the third-generation CPC Central Committee leadership and the main founder of the important ideas of the “Three Represents.” Jiang Zemin passed away in 2022 at the age of 96.
The collection reflects the important ideas of Jiang Zemin and his outstanding contribution to the theory and practice of diplomacy of socialism with Chinese characteristics.
