As part of the development of international cooperation, students of the State University of Management spent a month studying in Harbin — the largest educational and cultural center of Northeast China. Harbin Polytechnic University annually hosts foreign students for summer language programs that combine intensive study with an in-depth introduction to Chinese traditions.
The educational process was structured in such a way as to develop conversational skills as effectively as possible: classes were conducted primarily in Chinese, which allowed students to immerse themselves in the language environment from the very first days and overcome the language barrier more quickly.
The excursion program deserves special attention. The organizers prepared a rich itinerary for the students: the guys visited the main attractions of Harbin, took walks around the picturesque surroundings of the city, and went on mountain hikes.
By unanimous opinion of the students of GUU, participation in the summer school became a real adventure, stepping out of their comfort zone, and a unique opportunity to spend several weeks in a completely different cultural environment.
Let us recall that GUU actively develops international cooperation with higher education institutions in China. To date, agreements on cooperation in various areas have been concluded — ranging from joint educational programs to summer language and scientific schools.
Participation in such projects allows students of GUU to expand their academic horizons, deepen their language knowledge, and gain unique experience in intercultural communication, which becomes an important advantage in their future professional activities.
