Nefaz employees took part in the Night Run held in Neftekamsk. PJSC “NEFAZ”, a subsidiary of KAMAZ in Bashkortostan, acted as a partner of the sporting event.
The competition was organized by the local running community “Alga Neftekamsk”, the NGO “Sport for Good”, and the sports club “NIKELS CLUB UFA” with the support of the administration of the urban district of Neftekamsk. On site, a suburban bus NEFAZ-5299-31-57 running on compressed natural gas and an intercity bus NEFAZ-5299-17-52 were displayed. They formed a kind of corridor that became the start and finish points of the race. The vehicles were decorated in the race theme and became one of the favorite photo zones for participants and fans. Additionally, NEFAZ designed and produced branded trophies with the Night Run symbols and the NEFAZ logo for the winners.
The event was attended by professional athletes, representatives of sports clubs, and amateur teams from various cities across Russia. The headliner of the start was Rinas Akhmadeyev, an international-class master of sports, bronze medalist of the Universiade, and Russian champion. The NEFAZ team was one of the most numerous: 40 running enthusiasts took to the start.
“We pay great attention to sports, especially running sports, – noted General Director of PJSC “NEFAZ” Boris Khaziev. – Our company has its own running club, and plant workers actively and successfully participate in various competitions at the city, republican, and all-Russian levels. We gladly supported such a large-scale sporting event as the Night Run, which is being held in our city for the first time.
The competition program included two distances – 5 and 10 km. The route ran through the central streets of Neftekamsk. Along the course, there were stations staffed by volunteers where athletes could refresh themselves with drinking water. The race results were determined both in age categories among men and women, and in the overall standings. All participants received commemorative medals and sets from sponsors. Winners and prize-winners were awarded cash prizes and certificates. The total prize fund of the race amounted to 1 million rubles.
