In July, individuals became net buyers of shares (+24.4 billion rubles), despite a market correction. At the same time, citizens continued to buy corporate sector bonds in larger volumes than shares and OFZs (net purchases of corporate bonds amounted to 90 billion rubles). Over the past 12 months, the highest returns were shown by gold and ruble money market instruments.
In July, volatility in most segments of the Russian market decreased or remained at the level of the previous month. The ruble continued to weaken, but at a slower pace. OFZ yields changed in different directions – rising at the short end of the curve and falling at the long end.
