Investments by individuals in securities on the Moscow Exchange stock market in July 2026 amounted to 142.9 billion rubles.
Private investors’ investments in stocks in July amounted to 25.1 billion rubles, which is 1.9 times more than in July 2025. The inflow of funds into bonds amounted to 100.9 billion rubles, and into mutual investment funds – 16.8 billion rubles (+9.8% compared to July 2025).
The number of private investors with brokerage accounts on the Moscow Exchange as of the end of July 2026 was 42.2 million (+343.5 thousand in July), with more than 80.8 million accounts opened by them. In July, more than 3.1 million people made trades on the Moscow Exchange, of which over 353.5 thousand were qualified investors.
The share of individuals in the volume of stock trading in July was 63.3%, in bond trading – 14.5%, and in the derivatives market – 50.9%.
In July 2026, the private investor’s common portfolio included common and preferred shares of Sberbank (31.2% and 7.1% respectively), shares of LUKOIL (12.7%), Gazprom (11.5%), VTB (7.5%), T-Technology (7.1%), Yandex (6.5%), Rosneft (5.5%), X5 (5.5%), and Novatek (5.3%).
The top 10 Russian BPIFs in the portfolios of private investors included money market asset investment funds LQDT (44.9%), AKMM (19.3%), SBMM (16.8%), BCSD (2.4%), and AMNR (1.9%), variable coupon bond investment funds AKFB (3.9%) and SBFR (3.2%), the SAFE money market and bond asset investment fund (3.5%), the actively managed bond investment fund AKMB (2.1%), and the corporate ruble bond fund SBRB (1.8%).
The most popular securities from the MOEX IPO Index in private investor transactions for July 2026 were shares of MTS Bank (MBNK), B2B RTS (BTBR), Europlan (LEAS), Zaymer (ZAYM), Glorax (GLRX), VI.ru (VSEH), Arenadata Group (DATA), APRI (APRI), DOM.RF (DOMRF), and Promomed (PRMD).
The number of individual investment accounts (IIA) as of the end of July amounted to 6.4 million. The trading turnover on IIA accounts in July 2026 amounted to 340.4 billion rubles. In the turnover structure, 59% were transactions with stocks, 17% with bonds, and 24% with investment fund shares.
Regions leading in the number of opened IIS: Moscow (648.1 thousand accounts), Moscow Region (378.5 thousand), and Saint Petersburg (318.5 thousand). Following them are Krasnodar Krai (215.7 thousand), Sverdlovsk Region (211.3 thousand accounts), Republic of Bashkortostan (192.7 thousand), Tatarstan (173.9 thousand), Rostov Region (170.2 thousand), Chelyabinsk Region (153.7 thousand), and Samara Region (144.3 thousand).
