Beijing, August 8 /Xinhua/ — As of the end of July 2026, China’s foreign exchange reserves reached 3 trillion 418.8 billion US dollars, which is 2.5 billion US dollars or 0.07 percent more than the figure recorded at the end of June. This is evidenced by data published on Friday by the State Administration of Foreign Exchange of the PRC.
The slight increase in the indicator, as noted by the department, was mainly due to the combined effect of factors such as currency exchange rate recalculation and changes in asset prices.
Under the influence of the global macroeconomic environment and monetary policy of major world economies, the US dollar index declined in July, while global financial asset prices showed mixed dynamics, the agency noted.
China’s economy shows a trend of renewing growth drivers and optimizing the structure, while demonstrating high resilience and vitality, which helps maintain an overall stable volume of foreign exchange reserves, the agency added. -0-
