On Thursday, August 6, a test drive of the latest generation KAMAZ K5 vehicles took place on the cross-country track “Gora Pilnaya” in Yekaterinburg.
Representatives of the freight transportation sector, fleet owners, and heads of leading logistics companies in the Sverdlovsk region were invited to the promotional event. Before the start of the dynamic showcase, a presentation took place. Andrey Kozhevnikov, General Director of the Trade and Finance Company “KAMAZ,” addressed the audience with a welcoming speech. Experts from the automotive giant introduced the guests to the extensive model range of high-tech KAMAZ vehicles and spoke about the maintenance service of the equipment. Additionally, participants were able to interact directly with the speakers and receive up-to-date technical and commercial information.
After the official part concluded, a test drive took place, allowing potential clients to assess the handling and stability of the KAMAZ heavy machinery of the K5 generation, technical innovations, maneuverability, suspension performance, and braking systems of the trucks. Three high-tech dump trucks were provided for the runs: the powerful KAMAZ-6595, designed for intensive work in the construction industry, the all-wheel-drive “all-terrain vehicle” KAMAZ-65959, as well as the quarry dump truck on the KAMAZ-65951 “SKALA” chassis, relevant for mining enterprises.
While some guests evaluated the vehicles in motion, others visited the car exhibition. In this area, it was possible to study the equipment and receive consultations from technical specialists. The exhibition featured three modifications of the flagship KAMAZ-54901 tractor unit: gas-powered models running on LNG and CNG, as well as a version with the High Tech maximum configuration. Additionally, tractor units KAMAZ-65656, KAMAZ-65956, and KAMAZ-65659 were displayed coupled with the NEFAZ-95094 dump semi-trailer. A concrete mixer truck and a multilift based on the KAMAZ-65951 chassis were also presented, along with a refrigerated truck on the KAMAZ-53251 chassis, and timber trucks on the KAMAZ-6595 and KAMAZ-65955 chassis.
