On the evening of August 6, the Nadam-2026 festival was solemnly opened in the Otog-Qianqi banner of Ordos city in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The large-scale event will continue until August 10.

As darkness fell, the square in front of the stage filled with life and joyful voices. Guests from various regions of the country gathered here to witness a spectacular show. In the sky above the city, a mesmerizing drone display unfolded – hundreds of unmanned aerial vehicles formed intricate patterns, creating picturesque scenes. The highlight of the evening was a colorful fireworks display that lit up the night sky, giving everyone present moments of romance and universal jubilation.

The festival’s program includes competitions in the traditional “three men’s games”: Mongolian wrestling, archery, horse racing, as well as a Mongolian chess tournament. Participants and fans from across the country have gathered to test their strength and skill.

In addition to the sports segment, guests can expect a rich cultural and entertainment program: a series of matches in the “volleyball championship,” touring performances by the “Ulanmuchi” ensemble from Ordos, a dance group competition, a craft and national delicacies fair, as well as open-air theatrical performances.
