Beijing, August 5 /Xinhua/ — China has decided to tighten control over the export to the USA of dual-use goods related to unmanned aerial vehicles /UAVs/, the Ministry of Commerce of the PRC announced on Wednesday.
This measure was taken to protect national security and the interests of the country, as well as to fulfill international obligations, including in the field of non-proliferation, according to a statement from the ministry.
The export of unmanned aerial vehicles, their key components, and related technologies included in the list of dual-use goods subject to export control will be subjected to careful consideration on a case-by-case basis if they are intended for delivery to the United States. Such exports will not be subject to measures simplifying the license acquisition procedure.
The above-mentioned measure comes into effect on August 5. -0-
