A major carrier from the Republic of Khakassia ordered a batch of KAMAZ-65659 tractor trucks after successful test operation.

The KAMAZ-65659 fifth-generation K5 mainline tractor unit was handed over to the company for test operation under real working conditions. The vehicle transported cargo for five weeks and during this period confirmed its high technical and economic performance. Based on the test results, the management of the transport company decided to update its fleet with KAMAZ-65659 mainline tractor units. In August, the first five vehicles will depart on trips with dump semi-trailers for coal transportation, ensuring a balanced approach to organizing transport without violating weight limits.

KAMAZ-65659 is a representative of the K5 generation highway family of vehicles, a three-axle version of the popular KAMAZ-54901 tractor unit. The main feature of the model is the presence of an additional lifting axle. It allows increasing the total weight of the road train up to 44 tons without violating the law on weight load limits. In addition, when lifted, the axle reduces fuel consumption and decreases tire wear.

The vehicle is equipped with a KAMAZ-910.52-460 engine producing 483 hp (Euro-5), with a displacement of 12 liters and a torque of 2400 Nm. The PTO allows for the installation of a hydraulic system to work with dump trailers. The fuel tank capacity has been increased to 600 liters. The spacious cabin with two ergonomic sleeping berths, equipped with orthopedic mattresses, provides maximum comfort for the driver on long trips. The trim also includes a heated pneumatic seat, a modern multimedia system, climate control, an autonomous heater, a folding table, and spacious compartments for the driver’s personal belongings.
