Traditional friendly football matches were held at Kamaz children’s camps “Krylaty” and “Solnechny” with the participation of the men’s and women’s teams of the FC “KAMAZ Trade Union”. This year, the matches were dedicated to significant anniversaries – the 50th anniversary of the release of the first KAMAZ truck, the 400th anniversary of the founding of Naberezhnye Chelny, the 55th anniversary of the KAMAZ Trade Union organization, and the 35th anniversary of the ASM RF Trade Union.

Before the start of the matches, the participants were greeted by Ildar Shamilov, Chairman of the Trade Union Organization of PJSC “KAMAZ” and deputy of the State Council of Tatarstan. He said that the tradition originated back in 2018 and over eight years the competition has become a symbol of generational continuity. The first friendly match was conceived as a small celebration for children resting in camps, but over time it turned into one of the most anticipated summer events. Since last year, the company’s women’s team has joined the men’s team.

The games took place simultaneously on two football fields. The women’s team of the “KAMAZ Union” faced off against the campers of “Krylaty”, while the men’s team played against the “Solnechny” team. Despite the friendly status, the competition was intense. The young footballers of “Krylaty” defeated the women’s team with a score of 2:1, and the men’s union team won against their opponents from “Solnechny” by 6:4. After the matches, the organizers awarded the best players from the camps and the auto giant’s teams. The event concluded with group photos and the traditional friendly handshake.
