Changsha, August 2 /Xinhua/ — On Saturday, four people died and two others were injured in a fire that broke out in a residential building in Changsha, the administrative center of Hunan Province in central China, local fire and rescue services reported on Sunday.
The fire broke out at 3:54 AM on Saturday. Firefighters rescued six people at the scene in the multi-story residential building and took them to hospitals for medical treatment. Four of them later died despite the medical staff’s efforts, as of 4:00 PM on Sunday, while the other two continue to receive treatment.
The investigation into the causes of the fire is currently ongoing.
