Representatives of the State University of Management and the Charitable Foundation “Christian Mercy”, with which our university has a cooperation agreement, discussed the creation of joint educational programs in in-demand specialties for veterans of the special military operation.
The Foundation’s main activity is providing assistance to participants in the Special Military Operation and their families, as well as training military chaplains to provide psychological support to servicemen.
On the GUU side, the meeting was attended by the head of the Scientific Research Coordination Department Maxim Pletnev, the director of the Center for Space Research, Unmanned and Radioelectronic Technologies Dmitry Nikitin, and the specialist of the Project Engineering Management Center Nikita Akinshin. The Christian Mercy Foundation was represented by Executive Director Eduard Shabunevich, his deputy Nadezhda Burakova, and the lead project activity specialist Artur Shabunevich.
Maxim Pletnev spoke about the main scientific directions of the State University of Management and the implementation of educational programs in prompt engineering and UAV management for veterans of the Special Military Operation undergoing rehabilitation at the A.I. Meshcheryakov Family Center. The first pilot course “Fundamentals of Prompt Engineering” ended in the summer of this year and allowed the Center’s wards to acquire modern professional competencies necessary for further employment. One of the course instructors, Nikita Akinshin, shared training details, noted the specifics of interaction with military personnel, and introduced the course’s material and technical support. Dmitry Nikitin, in turn, shared plans to create another educational module related to training on CNC machine tools and emphasized that today veterans of the Special Military Operation wishing to master civilian professions have a high demand specifically for engineering specialties.
Representatives of the “Christian Mercy” foundation noted the importance and relevance of educational programs for participants of the special military operation (SMO) implemented by GUU, and proposed the initiative to create a new joint program on financial security, which will include a separate section on psychological assistance for combat veterans. GUU specialists are ready to support this initiative.
Training is planned to be conducted both remotely for participants from remote regions and on the premises of the State University of Management and at the Family Center named after A.I. Meshcheryakov.
In addition, Eduard Shabunevich proposed to share the successful experience of the State University of Management (GUSU) in organizing training for veterans of the special military operation with other regions of our country, so that servicemen returning to civilian life after rehabilitation could acquire the necessary professional skills and find employment. In particular, the issue of cooperation with regional branches of the “Defenders of the Fatherland” fund on the implementation of in-demand educational programs offered by our university was discussed.
The meeting also considered the possibility of adapting the current professional development programs to the requests of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
