I will share the footage with friends, relatives, and classmates in Russia, so that people abroad can see the authentic and vibrant life of villages in Guangdong Province,” said Emil Shagiev. According to him, he was particularly impressed by the modern agricultural technologies used in smart orchards. They star local residents themselves, and the filming takes place directly in the village. Pakistani graduate student Hina Rathore took part in all stages of filming in the village of Tandi, fully immersing herself in the process of creating miniseries. She actively discussed creative ideas with local resident actors and the film crew working in the village.
“Previously, my perception of a Chinese village was mostly associated with picturesque natural landscapes. However, the village of Tandii showed me the enormous potential for cultural creativity hidden in the countryside. The villagers here combine working in the fields with participating in the creation and filming of short series. Thanks to the screen, their stories have reached more people, which has also contributed to the development of tourism and the increase of income for the entire village. This development model seems very inspiring and instructive to me,” noted Hina.
