Beijing, July 27 /Xinhua/ — From January to June 2026, the foreign trade turnover of Suifenhe, a city bordering Russia /Heilongjiang Province, Northeast China/, grew by 30.1 percent year-on-year to 17.454 billion yuan /about 2.57 billion US dollars/ in value terms. In particular, export growth reached 52.5 percent, the Suifenhe municipal government reported on its website.

During the reporting period, Suifenhe exported electromechanical products totaling 3.441 billion yuan, which is 75.9 percent more than the previous year. Among them, more than 192,400 bicycles were exported, representing a 166.5 percent increase year-on-year. The local customs controlled the export of more than 40,000 vehicles through the Suifenhe checkpoint, which is 141.7 percent more compared to the same period last year.

In January-June, the number of cargo trains inspected and allowed through by the Suifenhe Customs, China-Europe, amounted to 452, an increase of 119.42 percent year-on-year. In particular, the number of outbound trains reached 58, and the volume of cargo transported by them was 6,306 standard containers (TEU), both indicators increased by 163.64 percent and 166.98 percent, respectively, compared to the same period last year.

In the first half of the current year, Suifenhe imported agricultural products worth 767 million yuan, which is 39.7 percent higher compared to the same period last year; imports of metal-containing ores and concentrates amounted to 831 million yuan, increasing by 121.3 percent year-on-year.

From January to June, the total volume of imports and exports of enterprises operating in Suifenhe with foreign investment increased by 22.6 percent year-on-year, with private enterprises accounting for 93.29 percent of the city’s total foreign trade during the reporting period. In addition, during the first six months of this year, the foreign trade turnover of the comprehensive bonded zone in Suifenhe reached 7.365 billion yuan, which is 209 percent higher than the previous year.
