Washington, July 22 /Xinhua/ — American forces struck military targets in Iran for the 11th consecutive night on Tuesday. This was reported on social media by the United States Central Command (CENTCOM).
The strikes, which began at 7:00 PM North American Eastern Time /11:00 PM Greenwich Mean Time/, were “aimed at further weakening Iran’s ability to threaten commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz,” according to a post by the command on the social network X.
Earlier that same day, US President Donald Trump stated that Washington is not interested in negotiations with Iran until Tehran is ready for a meeting that “will make sense.”
He also reported that the American military will “very soon” strike Mount Pikax in central Iran, referring to the fortified underground complex. In 2020, Tehran informed the International Atomic Energy Agency that this site would become the location for an assembly plant for modern centrifuges. –0–
