Tehran, July 22 /Xinhua/ — The Central Headquarters of Iran’s Armed Forces “Khatam al-Anbiyaa” warned on Wednesday morning that if Washington attacks Iranian nuclear and other strategically important sites, Tehran will expand its strikes on U.S. targets and their allies throughout the region. This was reported by Iranian state media.
This warning was made in response to a threat from US President Donald Trump earlier the same day. He stated that American forces would strike an Iranian nuclear facility in the central province of Isfahan “quite soon.”
The central headquarters of the Iranian military command stated that the United States has threatened to attack the country’s nuclear and strategically important facilities. In the event that the US Armed Forces move to such a stage, Tehran will consider it an expansion of the war in the Western Asia region and will deliver a “powerful blow” to the interests of the US, its allies, and supporters.
The Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) reported in a statement published on its official information portal Sepah News on Tuesday evening the destruction of an early warning radar and a number of tactical radars in the area of the Ali Al-Salem airbase in Kuwait, as well as another radar system on Bubiyan Island. –0–
