Beijing, July 20 /Xinhua/ — Last Saturday at Beidaihe Airport in Qinhuangdao city, Hebei Province /Northern China/, a plane from the Russian city of Khabarovsk successfully landed, marking the official resumption after a six-year hiatus of international passenger air routes served by this airport.
According to the Chinese news agency “Zhongguo Xinwen She” on its website, citing data from the Shijiazhuang Customs, after the resumption of direct flights between Qinhuangdao and Khabarovsk, the aforementioned airport plans to open air routes with other Russian cities such as Irkutsk, Blagoveshchensk, Yakutsk, and Vladivostok.
During the summer peak passenger season, this airport plans to operate more than 10 international flights per week to establish a regularly functioning air corridor for the summer season, covering the Russian Far East and Northeast Asia, thereby promoting sustainable attraction of foreign passengers.
