The 5th Summer Project School for students of the “Rosneft-classes” has started at the Moscow State University Gymnasium named after M.V. Lomonosov. Eighty students from the 10th grade “Rosneft-classes” from 13 regions of Russia have begun their studies. The selection of participants was conducted based on the results of a multi-stage testing and a remote training course.
The summer school is a joint project of Rosneft and MSU aimed at supporting talented youth. The training is focused on providing students with basic knowledge in research activities, as well as practical skills in team development and implementation of projects in key areas of Rosneft’s operations.
For two weeks, schoolchildren will work in groups of four profiles: mathematical, engineering, geological, and natural science, as well as participate in various training sessions on soft skills and creative workshops.
The career guidance track aims to cultivate in the program participants the desire to build a professional career at Rosneft enterprises. To familiarize themselves with the Company’s activities, schoolchildren will visit the Arctic Science Center of Rosneft and the laboratories of the Joint Research and Development Center (LLC “RN-CIR”), as well as the specialized faculties and museums of Lomonosov Moscow State University and Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas. At the end of the Summer Project School, students will present their projects.

In order to create an external talent pool and a steady influx of highly educated young specialists into the Company, in 2005 the Company established the corporate continuous education system “School – University – Enterprise.” Currently, with the support of the Company, more than 3,000 schoolchildren from 20 regions of the country study in the “Rosneft classes.” Education is conducted according to programs with an advanced study of mathematics, physics, chemistry, and computer science, involving the best teachers.
