Beijing, July 16 /Xinhua/ — China will continue to firmly support Cuba in defending national sovereignty and countering external interference, said Lin Jiang, an official spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, at a regular press conference on Thursday.
The Chinese diplomat made this statement in response to a report that senior US Department of Defense officials recently considered the possibility of conducting military operations against Cuba.
