Consumer activity increased in May – June, and its growth accelerated in several macro-regions. Sales of passenger cars increased, partly due to the strengthening of the ruble and the reduction of auto loan rates. At the same time, demand in the services sector decreased. This is partly related to the slowdown or reduction of domestic tourist flow in most regions.
In May–June, there was a slowdown in economic activity overall compared to April. Motor fuel production declined. Extraction of minerals decreased in the Ural regions, as did the production of building materials in the South. In most other industries, growth was still observed. In Volga-Vyatka, output in mechanical engineering increased. Coal mining rose in Siberia and the Far East.
