Astana, July 15 /Xinhua/ — The presentation of the fifth volume of the book “Xi Jinping on State Governance” took place here on Wednesday.
Participants of the event noted that the fifth volume comprehensively and systematically reflects the latest achievements of Xi Jinping’s ideas on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era and serves as an authoritative edition helping the international community better understand the characteristics of Chinese modernization and gain deeper insight into modern China. China and Kazakhstan are like-minded on the path to modernization. An in-depth exchange of experiences in state governance between the two countries, based on the important works of President Xi Jinping of China, is of great significance for promoting the building of a bilateral community with a shared future.
Elnur Beysenbayev, Head of the Internal Policy Department of the Presidential Administration of Kazakhstan, stated that the presentation of the fifth volume of the book “Xi Jinping on State Governance” marked a new milestone in the development of exchanges and mutual learning of civilizations between Kazakhstan and China. According to him, Kazakhstan is currently undertaking a range of economic and social reforms, accelerating the modernization of the country while taking into account national conditions. The official noted that Kazakhstan and China have much in common on the path of modernization. The philosophy of state governance and development strategy outlined in the works of Chairman Xi Jinping are of great significance for Kazakhstan, emphasized E. Beysenbayev.
The Director of the Central Communications Service under the President of Kazakhstan, Askar Umarov, noted that over the past decades, China has demonstrated impressive results in areas such as the economy, science and technology, culture, the rule of law, and diplomacy. According to him, China’s experience deserves thorough study and broad adoption in Kazakhstan. “The fifth volume of the book reflects the key directions of modern China’s development. For Kazakhstan, this publication holds particular relevance. The deeper we understand the logic behind the decisions made and China’s long-term goals, the more effective bilateral cooperation becomes,” the official emphasized.
The Director of the Center for the Study of China, Gulnar Shaimergenova, noted that in a context where the world order is undergoing a period of profound transformation, China maintains its role as one of the leading centers of global economic growth and a crucial factor of international stability. “The works of Chairman Xi Jinping are translated into dozens of languages and carefully studied in many countries around the world. Through his books, the Chinese leader formulates the ideological foundation of his country’s international activities and offers the global community his own vision of joint development,” she said.
During the event, the Chinese side presented the Kazakhstanis with the fourth volume of the book “Xi Jinping on Governance” in Kazakh and the fifth volume in Russian. Representatives from think tanks, businesses, and universities of China and Kazakhstan shared vivid stories about how practical cooperation between the two countries brings real benefits to local residents. Experts also exchanged views on building a China-Kazakhstan community with a shared future and jointly constructing the “Belt and Road”.
The event was jointly organized by the Press Office of the State Council of the PRC, the China International Communication Group /CICG/, and the Embassy of the PRC in Kazakhstan.
